Michael Robinson is a 3rd degree black belt in Kuk Sool, a traditional Korean martial art. He is also a certified personal trainer and performance enhancement specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and is a clinical massage therapist.

Michael began his career as a martial arts instructor in June of 1995 after receiving his black belt. His responsibilities included coaching adults and children on principles and techniques of self-defense, acupressure, body strengthening and conditioning, stress management, meditation and breathing techniques. He also trained police officers and Federal Law Enforcement Agents on principles of joint locking, restraining methods, control and redirection techniques, and joint breaking techniques, advised teenage girls and women on self-defense principles as a Women’s Self-Defense Instructor, taught a group fitness class for women, provided nutrition and training seminars and facilitated fitness training for Boy Scout Merit Badge Requirements as his way of serving the local community.

To better assist students with their martial arts and fitness training goals, Michael chose to become a certified personal trainer and performance enhancement specialist. He also returned to school to study clinical massage therapy to further his training in anatomy and kinesiology, and how it applies to training and healing of the body. He was one of the top students of his graduating class.

Currently, Michael continues to work in the health and fitness field by creating and implementing corrective strategies to address muscle imbalances, postural deviations, post injury rehabilitation, and improve performance by combining performance enhancement training and clinical massage techniques for fitness clients and martial arts students. He also writes training articles for Art of The Warrior magazine, and has written a training guide to enhance martial art and athletic performance.
